Slate Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
Slate ("Slate," "we," "us," or "our") is a service of Suroh Group LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit slatecontests.com (the "Site") or contact us through it.
Scope. This policy covers only this marketing website. Slate builds and operates branded competition platforms for our clients. Those contest platforms are separate from this Site and are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. This policy does not apply to them.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out our contact form, we collect your full name, work email address, brand or company name, and the details you choose to share about your competition, including the type of competition, your audience size, your website, and what you are hoping to get out of a season. You may also choose to provide your role and your social media handles, which are optional. When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address.
Information we collect automatically. When you use the Site, we and our analytics and advertising providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies, which are described below.
We do not collect government identifiers, payment card numbers, health information, or other sensitive categories of personal information through this Site.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies to operate the Site, understand how visitors use it, and support our marketing. These include:
- Analytics, such as Google Analytics and PostHog, which help us understand site traffic and how visitors interact with our content.
- Advertising, such as the Meta pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag, and Google Ads tags, which help us measure and deliver advertising, including showing you Slate ads on other platforms.
You can control cookies through your browser settings and through the advertising choices described under "Your advertising and analytics choices."
How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries and follow up about working with Slate, send you our newsletter and other communications you request, operate and improve the Site, measure and improve our marketing and advertising, protect the Site and our business and enforce our terms, and comply with our legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information in the following ways:
- Service providers. We share information with companies that perform services for us, such as website hosting, analytics, email and customer relationship management providers, and advertising partners. They are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Advertising partners. Our use of advertising pixels and tags means that certain information, such as identifiers and your activity on our Site, may be shared with advertising platforms like Meta, LinkedIn, and Google to deliver and measure advertising. Under some state laws, including California, this activity may be considered "sharing" or a "sale" of personal information. See "Your California privacy rights" for how to opt out.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Slate, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Your advertising and analytics choices
You have choices about how your information is used for analytics and advertising:
- You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- You can manage interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance at optout.aboutads.info and the Network Advertising Initiative at optout.networkadvertising.org.
- You can adjust ad preferences directly with Meta, LinkedIn, and Google in your account settings on those platforms.
- Many browsers support the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where required by law, we treat a GPC signal as a valid request to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Data retention
We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and pursue a potential or active business relationship, and for a reasonable period afterward to maintain our records, after which we delete or de-identify it. We keep newsletter information until you unsubscribe. We keep automatically collected information for as long as needed for the purposes described above.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
This Site is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 through this Site. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (the "CCPA"), gives you certain rights regarding your personal information.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
Your rights. You have the right to know the personal information we have collected about you, to request that we delete it, to request that we correct inaccurate information, to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
How to exercise your rights. You can exercise these rights by emailing us at privacy@slatecontests.com. To opt out of sharing for advertising, you can email us, use the advertising choices above, or enable the Global Privacy Control in a supported browser. We will verify your request using the information you provide. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
